First of all, happy Easter!
Mirja, thanks a lot for your suggestion! Sounds like a great idea, although I was thinking about some place in a more central location. I'm arriving in Hamburg on Wednesday evening and I'm going to decide about the event venue and let you know no later than Thursday evening. Most probably it will be in St. Pauli. Hope it's alright with all of you!

St. Pauli may be too busy Friday nights. I am not familiar with the center of the city But Altona is pretty nice.

St. Pauli isn't really my scene either and a convenient place to park my car would be important for me, since I live about 30 km out of Hamburg. Altona would be cool, too.

Feel free to choose a place in Altona and let me know. I am not familiar with that neighbourhood, but since you are locals, I guess you know the city much better than me.

I checked the places in Altona, and these are the 2 options that I find convenient for the powwow: Altamira tapas bar and Cafe bar Knuth.
Which one do you prefer?

I just came by this thread - I won't be able to attend, just a quick warning: You probably won't be able to get a reservation for the Altamira for tomorrow. Also, it's usually packed and very noisy, which makes any conversation difficult. And last but not least, the food is not as good as it used to be, not by a long shot. I used to be a regular patron, but I'm no longer.
