We have only 4 enrollees so far,
because three are from out of
Mumbai, and I am assuming that Pune
enrollees will come to Mumbai.
A minimum of 5 is required to hold the
powwow. Let's wait and see till the
end of June. If you can tell
any of your friends too to enrol,
that should do it.

In order to get a clear picture of
who will be attending, I am assuming
that all Mumbaikars will of course
be attending.
What about non-Mumbaikars? Can all
non-Mumbaikars confirm their attendance (or non-attendance)?
Is the time suitable for your travel plans?

Well,
Just a reminder to everyone, the Powwow is this Saturday.
If it's okay with everyone, can we prepone it to 5:00 pm?
So far, we have 9 people attending the Powwow. Each of us should please count on Rs. 125/head for expenses at the venue of the PowWow (or lower, based on actuals. If higher, I'll be picking up the tab for the difference ). I, along with Veera Pavari, also of Mumbai, ar... See more Well,

I, along with Veera Pavari, also of Mumbai, are in the process of finalizing the venue, we promise it's a very pleasant place that you'll all like.
PLEASE TELL ME IF 5:00 PM IS NOT OKAY!!! Otherwise, I shall assume that 5:00 pm is okay with everyone.

Unfortunately, it is too late to change the time to even earlier. I wish you had responded to my call about the timing a few weeks ago! I'm afraid it remains 5:00 pm.
The tentative venue for the social gathering is the Cricket Club of India, near Churchgate Station and Eros cinema in downtown Mumbai. It is about a four minute walk from Churchgate station. If Puneites need help, I can arrange to be at Churchgate station at around 4:45 pm.

It is heartening to note that a first ever powwow is going to be held in India. I hope that a fruitful discussion would be held in connection with the art of translation.It will be great if a brief of minutes of this meet is circulated among all the professionals dealing with translation of Indian languages for their benefit.
