Below is a list of features of a pair of sneakers made by a notable Italian brand:

gimmick

"Suola extra ammortizzante" necessarily implies "attutisce l'urto". You can see that they made it sound like an extra feature, when the two are, in fact, one and the same. It's funny how you easily spot these kind of things when you are a translator
