Edit: And really quite brilliantly done if you ask me, especially given the subject matter/required political rhetoric. I'd like to know if this is based on a translation or created from scratch.

It's clearly with offical background. I never heard people around talking about this video. Local Chinese people who like this tone mostly don't like English or non-Chinese speaking people.

Still not quite grasped the idea of outreach... Nov 3, 2015

I think that's pretty cute. But why would anyone who didn't know that stuff about China before watch this video or learn from it? Somewhere along the line, the nature of the target audience is getting lost, I fear.

That's why Ｉ like it so much! It's the perfect mix of surprisingly good writing (dumbing things down was the right choice) and odd subject matter.
