Norwegian term

naglelaken

Norwegian to English Medical Medical: Instruments hip screws, orthopaedics
This is getting ridiculous - yet another term for which I can't find any reference at all, naglelaken. Orthopaedics, pelvic examination.
Phrase: 3 stenger for naglelaken oppheng, which is under the 'preoperative preparation' section.
Anyone relate to this term?

I've been googling 'hook', 'nail', 'pin', 'peg', etc. sheet for a while, but I think you may have found the answer. Having seen that reference I think I'm going with it. I'll leave it a while before choosing in case someone else does say something, but your reference looks appropriate.

hook sheet

This is obviously some kind of 'sheet' - but that could mean anything.

Could it be a 'hook sheet' as here?

or here?

I've been wondering all day how 'nail varnish' could possibly be involved!!! I simply had to find the answer...

Nagellack is Swedish, I know, but that's what it looked like at first glance.

It just goes to show how dangerous false friends can be.
