Der Küchenkorpus (Schrank) wird ebenfalls aus Vollholz gefertigt, hier soll erwähnt werden, dass alle Korpen ebenfalls auf Wunschmaß gefertigt werden. www.wachter-roth.de/produkte.htm

Even if I have got the Greek wrong, hope you can see that 'Korpen is being used to describe the (wooden) walls/panelling of the furniture.
(That's what I make of it anyway)

My Wahrig (1982) also gives Korpusse as the plural, with the body of a stringed instrument as one example (and a shop counter in Swiss German). Thinking of stringed instruments and \'Auίenwδnde\', I have been thinking that Korpen was referring more to the (design showing) outside shell (minus doors? and worksurfaces??) than the framework and inside partitions, struts, and shelves.
Wahrig at www.wissen.de now gives: Korpus <m.; -, -pus·se> Kernstόck (von Mφbeln). The plural \'Korpora\' is also given for some uses of Korpus.
