I need a good short translation that fits in with general fund classification. Other examples are "sicherheitsorientiert" or "wachstumsorientiert".

I would use "opportunistic", but this has negative connotations. Anyone got a better translation?

Content is Annual Report Hi folks, thanks for all the answers, I'll decide later on today when I get back to the translation in question. The context is an annual report, so the translation needed is a "neutral" one, just describing the kind of fund involved. The actual fund is a closed-end property fund, and as such risky. And are there indeed just those three classes, i.e. from low-risk to high-risk = "chancenorientiert" (which of course does not even hint that this is potentially also the quickest way to burn your money)? What kind of fund for what kind of customer?

has no negative connotations at all in the US financial vernacular. It rather suggests being 'smart'. Sicherheitsorientiert would be "conservative", wachstums... "(high) growth"

aggressive growth

This is a tough question. In the USA funds are categorized in a number of different ways:
conservative - moderate - aggressive
growth - value - index - sector (e.g. health care)
bond - stock - balanced
domestic - international - emerging market

I think what you're dealing with is an "aggressive growth" fund category.

I'd have suggested this anyway - and it just so happens to be hinted at in your own link.
Or "high risk/return" ...
But it all depends on your rendering of "sicherheitsorientiert" and "wachstumsorientiert"! Perhaps low ... moderate ...?
