I asked the Swedish and Norwegian guys the same question
In the scene, the President is in a meeting with her cabinet and the Secretary of State is opposed to the proposed military action. When he makes his concerns known once more, the President stops him mid-stream and says;
'We are done discussing this, if you cannot get behind this, then I will find someone else who can - but I am done with your handwringing'
I disagreed with the Swedish subtitling where 'handwringing' was subtitled 'tvivel'.
What are your thoughts? How would this be conveyed in Danish?
Thanks!

Det, at man vrider hænderne mod hinanden, lidt gammeldags måske, men vi er jo også nogle, der ikke er født i 80'erne. Se eksempler i links.

Hi Tariq, absolutely, there are many reasons to wring your hands. The state of economy could be one, greediness could be another, spitefulness yet one etc. ...

Hej Tariq!
Mon ikke det er på tide at lukke spørgsmålet - nu er der hele 6 enighedserklæringer. Det virker lidt overdrevent på mig.
Venlig hilsen
Poul

thank you Poul, would this work with the definition on handwringing here: http://www.thefreedictionary.com/handwringing - 2. An excessive expression of distress: handwringing by some experts over the state of the economy |
