Swedish term

Förhållningsprinciper för anställda

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Human Resources
Hello

This is the heading of a section and what basically follows is who is allowed to answer what sort of questions from the press, who can make a statement in public etc.

Surprisingly, I cannot find "Förhållningsprinciper" in a dictionalry nor can I think of the exact term in English

Can anyone help please

Thanks for the update. So I was right, ner ner ne-ner ner :-)

@ all Hello

Just to tell you how this ended.

"Code of Conduct" was impossible as I later had "uppförandekoden" and we could not have "Code of Conduct" twice in the TOC.

So the end-client agreed to change the Swedish to "Kommunikationsprinciper för anställda" which means that i will have to close the question without points but thanks everyone who chipped in with an idea or an agree.
Agneta Pallinder Jan 5, 2022:
@Dave Long before some Swenglifying translator coined "uppförandekod" from "code of conduct" Swedes made do with "förhållningsregler" and if you wanted to sound a bit more sophisticated "förhållningsprinciper". Same difference!

@ all Hello

Isn't a code of conduct "uppförandekod" or "etikkod" though?
Christopher Schröder Jan 3, 2022:
I guess it boils down to whether this heading is referring to a code of conduct or not. The context presented suggests not.

@ Icescream Hello

Can you officially suggest "communication policy" please?

Media is a bit too restrictive as we analysts, investors etc. are also mentioned

Sorry to Diarmuld about this as I was not precise enough here at the start.

Media policy

It's not a very common term and seems to mean different things in different contexts - sounds like in your context, Media Policy might cover it?
Peer comment(s):

agree Christopher Schröder : Yeah my first instinct was communication policy

disagree Anna Herbst : Too narrow. How to deal with the media could be included in the code of conduct.
