I know the usual meaning of fotre, but I don't know how to use it in this context. This is from an email that's talking about broadcasting rights for soccer games.

As some of them are recording technical expenses in the budget, (the company, entity) is working on the numbers to see how much the rights amount to.

: "working out" is another possibility, perhaps omitting "numbers": As some people include technical costs in the budget, they're working out how much the rights will cost.
