Bio
I have been working with translation, interpretation, and localization for about 11 years now with work between Japanese and English. I first started working as a professional translator in mid-2005 and have been consistently working in the industry since then, both as a freelancer and an in-house translator.
My specialties mainly involve computers, entertainment, and science (particularly astronomy), but my interests are very broad and over the years I have translated a wide variety of subjects ranging from manga and video games to electrical engineering, political journalism, and medical science.
My in-house translation experience has been entirely in the video game industry, having spent over 6 years at Square Enix in Shinjuku, as well as some time at GREE, Inc. and Voltage Entertainment USA. Other than my experience as a translator and interpreter, I have also worked as a localization coordinator, globalization director, and a game producer. Over the past few years, I have been doing a lot of translation review work as well.
I pride my translations on their speed, accuracy, and how they flow naturally.
I graduated with a degree in English and am quite passionate about not only literature but all forms of entertainment and would welcome any manga, video game, book, film, marketing, copywriting, or other such translations.
