Source text - English 1. Customer’s Responsibilities. Customer shall be responsible for the proper supply and operation of Customer’s data communications network used (i) to interconnect parts of the Computer Room Equipment, and (ii) to cause the Computer Room Equipment to exchange data with systems and devices not supplied by Bally, in such a way to be compatible with the operation of the Software and the Bally Hardware, and Computer Room Equipment. Customer understands, acknowledges and agrees that, except as provided in this Agreement, Customer has no rights in and to the Software, and will not sell, assign, lease, license, or in any manner encumber, pledge, convey, or transfer: (i) any of the Software; (ii) any of Customer’s license rights under this Agreement; or (iii) any of Customer’s interests in this Agreement, whether in part or in the entirety of this Agreement. Customer further agrees that Bally employees have received considerable training and investment from Bally in order for Bally to fulfil the terms and conditions of this Agreement and as such Bally employees are a valuable resource to Bally. Unless otherwise previously agreed to in writing between Customer and Bally, Customer agrees that Customer will not solicit, hire, engage or otherwise contract with, any employees of Bally for a period of one year after such employee(s) leave their employment with Bally, if that employee worked for Bally during the term of this Agreement. Customer’s subsequent purchase orders to Bally for additional parts, material, Bally Hardware, Computer Room Equipment and Software pertaining to the Authorized Casino(s) as described in this Agreement, upon written acceptance by Bally such orders shall be at Bally’s then-prevailing rates and deemed to be amendments to Exhibit A and are subject to all of the terms and conditions of this Agreement and its exhibits.

El Cliente será responsable del debido suministro y funcionamiento de la red de comunicaciones de datos del Cliente utilizada a los fines de (i) interconectar los componentes de los Equipos de sala de informática, y (ii) hacer que los Equipos de sala de informática intercambien datos mediante sistemas y dispositivos no suministrados por Bally, de tal forma que sean compatibles con el funcionamiento del Software y el Hardware de Bally, y los Equipos de sala de informática. Source text - English Just because someone has a healthcare degree or training and experience in medicine, nursing, or other specialties, it doesn't mean that they are always ready to address the challenge of suicidal thoughts or behaviors.
While some people think that unless someone is actively considering ending their own life, it is best not to discuss the subject of suicide.
And while others believe that suicide is very rare and isn't really a problem for most participants in clinical research studies...
One person ends their life by suicide every 45 seconds.
Over 700,000 people die globally from suicide every year.
And twice as many people kill themselves than die due to homicides.
We have an obligation in clinical research to protect the safety of participants.
Bear in mind that many studies have shown that utilization of health care services increases for persons who complete suicide in the year preceding their death.
People who go on to end their lives by suicide make more frequent contacts with all forms of care – not just psychiatric treatment, but also primary care, and other services.
The only way to know whether a study participant might be having thoughts about suicide is to talk to them.
This communication is crucial – but any discussion about suicide between clinical researchers and study participants should always be sincere, direct, and well prepared.
You will be asked to conduct careful evaluations of participants to evaluate the extent to which they're at risk. How can we all make sure that we're ready to help identify and support those participants who may be thinking about or even engaging in suicidal behaviors?
First, we need to understand the risk factors involved.
What are the characteristics and experiences that might increase someone's chances of suicide?
Life experiences can increase risk, such as being bullied and excluded; belonging to a protected minority; deprivation; isolation and loss of relationships;
Certain health conditions are associated with suicide, such as substance use; chronic pathologies and pain; disability status; conditions affecting mental health;
And various ways of thinking are seen in people who are suicidal like: inflexibility; impulsivity; a tendency to focus on the negative things; or a tendency to have repetitive, limited and negative thoughts.
There are three key steps we all can take to help identify people at risk.
The first is "SEE"
- Observe and be aware of potential risk factors in participant’s history and self-report
- Pay attention to participant's language and words they use
- And carefully observe participant's behaviors
The second is "SAY"
- Always address the participant of self-harm and suicide in a direct, empathic manner – which means being honest and sincere each time to you speak to participants about suicide
- Also, avoid asking leading questions, trivializing language, or using terms that may make participants who are having thoughts about suicide feel as though you are blaming them for it.
- And be prepared and familiar with suicide questionnaires you use in the study.
The third is "ACT"
Know and follow the procedure established by your site or institution for all participants at risk
Maintain communication with the participant while you seek consultation and obtain assistance.
Do not leave them alone for an extended period.
Follow the escalation process and refer the participant to a qualified health care professional, according to the procedures in your study protocol
This isn't an easy subject for many people and it can be uncomfortable to talk about.
But always remember!
If you don’t ask, you might miss an opportunity to save someone’s life.
You will not put the idea of suicide in someone’s head by asking about it.
Individuals who are thinking of suicide often are seeking to end pain and hopelessness, and do not necessarily want to die.

Mientras que algunas personas piensan que a menos que alguien esté considerando activamente poner fin a su propia vida, es mejor no abordar el tema del suicidio.
Y mientras otros creen que el suicidio es muy raro y no es realmente un problema para la mayoría de los participantes en estudios clínicos...

Se le pedirá que realice evaluaciones minuciosas de los participantes para valorar hasta qué punto están en situación de riesgo. ¿Cómo podemos asegurarnos de que estamos preparados para ayudar a identificar y apoyar a los participantes que puedan estar pensando en el suicidio o incluso teniendo tendencias suicidas?
En primer lugar, necesitamos comprender los factores de riesgo implicados.
¿Cuáles son las características y experiencias que podrían aumentar las probabilidades de suicidio de una persona?
Las experiencias de la vida pueden aumentar el riesgo, como el acoso y la exclusión, la pertenencia a una minoría protegida, la privación, el aislamiento y la pérdida de relaciones;

- Observar y darse cuenta de los posibles factores de riesgo en el historial y autoinforme del participante
- Prestar atención al lenguaje y las palabras que utiliza el participante
- Y observar atentamente el comportamiento del participante
El segundo es “DECIR”
- Abordar siempre el tema de la autoagresión y el suicidio de una forma directa y empática, lo que significa ser honesto y sincero cada vez que se hable con los participantes sobre el suicidio
- Evitar también hacer preguntas capciosas, trivializar el lenguaje o utilizar términos que puedan hacer que los participantes que tienen ideas de suicidio se sientan como si se les estuviera culpando por ello.
- Y prepararse y familiarizarse con los cuestionarios de suicidio que se utilizan en el estudio.
El tercero es “ACTUAR”
Conocer y seguir el procedimiento establecido por el centro o institución para todos los participantes de riesgo
Mantener la comunicación con el participante mientras se busca asesoramiento y se obtiene ayuda.
No dejarles solos durante un período prolongado de tiempo.
Seguir el proceso de escalada y remitir al participante a un profesional de la salud cualificado, de acuerdo con los procedimientos del protocolo del estudio
Este no es un tema fácil para muchas personas y puede resultar incómodo hablar de él.
¡Pero recuerde siempre!
Si no pregunta, podría perder la oportunidad de salvarle la vida a alguien.
No va a meter la idea de suicidio en la mente de alguien por preguntarle al respecto.
Las personas con ideas de suicidio a menudo buscan acabar con el dolor y la desesperanza, y no necesariamente quieren morir.
