There is a lot of focus here on the sentence found on the website, but apparently you don't have that sentence on the data sheet?? (Carine, could you clarify this?)
If so, then your original phrase might look as if it could be translated:
"to support/resist perpendicularly to the arm's axis".
However, IMO the reaction is not perpendicular, but rather the action is perpendicular, and therefore the adverbial form doesn't work, rather a noun–adjective form would work:
"to support/resist moments/torques perpendicular to the arm's axis".
Yet this seems to be too long to fit the spirit of the data sheet.
I suggest something like:
"(torque) resistance perpendicular to arm's axis"
"(torque) rating perpendicular to arm axis"
"(torque) capacity perpendicular to axis of arm"
This is based on my guess that the usage in the data sheet is immediately accompanied by some numerical specification with appropriate physical units (N⋅m) that will imply to the educated reader that the rating applies to a torque/moment, without the word "torque" necessarily needing to be explicitly stated.

Das kommt auf den Blickwinkel an. Ich zitiere hierzu aus Collins Cobild English Grammar:

10.8 ... the person or thing you want to talk about is usually put first as the subject of the clause. So when you want to talk about someone or something that is the performer of an action (the agent), you make them the subject of the verb and you use an active form of the verb. The other person or thing is made the object of the verb.
However, if you want to focus on the person or thing affected by an action, ... In that case, you make that person or thing the subject of a passive form of the verb.
For example, you could report the same event by using an active form of a verb, as in "The dog's eaten our dinner' or by using a passive form of a verb, as in Our dinner's been eaten by the dog', depending on whether you wanted to talk about the dog or your dinner.

Das gilt natürlich auch im Deutschen. Hier kommt es darauf an, ob man sagen will, die Kräfte drücken auf den Arm, oder der Arm wird gedrückt, bzw. die Kräfte belasten den Arm, oder die Kräfte werden aufgenommen. Im technischen Zusammenhang ist eher das zweite der Normalfall. Beim Boxen sieht das vielleicht anders aus.

Rückfrage: Satzkonstruktion also passivisch: "torques and reactive moments are supported by the arm perpendicular to ist axis"? Oder: "the telescopic arm supports torques ....."?
