Hi there, some help would be appreciated!

Upon saving translated file as, the exported word doc file is locked in the source language (Thai) and selecting all then changing language in Word does nothing. The only workaround I've found is to copy all text to 'TextEdit' then paste and match formatting back to word, which somehow clears the locked language.

A 1 page word doc example is here (shared from my personal Google Drive)

Source doc: https://goo.gl/17gtQR
Save Translated File doc: https://goo.gl/lKmiop
TXML: https://goo.gl/BCE47J

OCR was not used to type the source.

I don't have trouble using the work around for files like the above, but for files with lots of formatting, tables and so on, it can get quite tedious.

If left, the client will receive a file full of red-underlined text, as the spell checker deemed everything as a mistake.

Thanks,

DJH

Yes, I see that. And when I select all, copy, and then paste into another MS Word file directly, it changes the language to Arabic (on my computer).

I don't think this problem is related to Wordfast. You should ask your question at:
http://www.msofficeforums.com/
...without making mention of Wordfast.
